Ruse Industrial Association (RIA) is a regional representative of Bulgarian Industrial Association (BIA) in Rousse county. BIA is a nationally recognized organization of employers and participates with its representatives in the operation of all national consultative councils, supervisory and managing bodies of state public institutions. BIA is the only business organization in Bulgaria that is a member of BUSINESSEUROPE, a confederate-like European business organization, thus representing the Bulgarian companies and employers’ interests on a European level. Furthermore, it actively participates in the work of the International Labour Organization (ILO), the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) and the South East European Employers’ Forum (SEEEF). BIA is also among the founders of the Union of Black Sea and Caspian Confederation of Enterprises (UBCCE).

As a regional representative of BIA, Rousse Industrial Association provide services to the business in Rousse county as follows:

  • prepare studies, researches, analyses and expert assessments;
  • providing vocational education for the needs of the business in the region;
  • organizes training in soft skills, entrepreneurship, languages, digital competences, corporate trainings – corporate social responsibility, lean manufacturing, improvement of production processes, etc.;
  • helps establish business contacts, negotiation and conclusion of commercial transactions;
  • provides legal, accounting and other consultations;
  • assists registration of trademarks, designs, models and patents, as well as protection against Infringement of industrial property rights.
  • assists in the preparation of foreign trade and customs documents when registering under the licensing and other regimes;
  • commercial arbitrage;

Rousse Industrial Association is in cooperation with Rousse’s University based on a Memorandum for the encouragement of entrepreneurship and the development of the business environment in the region since April 6, 2015 and they organize internships for students at their business centre and in their member companies. Each summer 20-30 students intend internships with RIA. The company has active policy about the community development in the region and have many activities and interventions for different social groups of adults and youths – employed, unemployed, NEETs, etc., and have experience to work with vulnerable groups. RIA has 8 paid staff as well as 3 youth volunteers and about 50 experts in different fields who participate in different activities on temporary contracts. Each year about 300 learners are using the services of their adult training centre. ISO 9001:2015 for organization and management of training activities ISO 26000:2010 implemented in its management system and training sessions

What are the activities and experience of the organisation in the areas relevant for this project? What are the skills and/or expertise of key persons involved in this project?

The projects that RIA is participating are directly connected to educating adults, HR development, development of innovative learning programs for the needs of the stakeholders in the region, as well as motivational training programs with individually developed contents based on the needs of the target group:

  • 2020– 2021 – BG05M9OP001-1.057-0230, RIA has developed two specialized learning programs for the needs of the beneficent and provides training for 42 people;
  • 2020 – BG05M9OP001-1.057-0364, RIA has developed training program for specific staff training in the area of Project management and implementation and provided the training itself;
  • 2018–2019–partner in project BG05M9OP001-1.023-0083 “ENTREPRENEURSHIP – A NEW LIFE PERSPECTIVE”, providing consulting services, support and mentoring for 120 youths beneficiaries from the North Central region of Bulgaria for starting up own business, including guiding to applying for appropriate financial resources;
  • 2018–2019 – partner in project BG05M9OP001-1.023-0126 “Entrepreneurship – new alternative for economic and social life”, motivational and entrepreneurial competencies training for start-ups and management of own business for 108 youths’ beneficiaries from North East region of Bulgaria;
  • 2018 –2019–BG05M9OP001-1.021-0336, RIA contributed to the parallel improvement of occupational and key skills of the workforce of the beneficent;
  • 2018 – 2019–BG05M9OP001-1.021-0213, RIA enhanced the professional qualification and competence of the workers in Port Complex Ruse J.S. Co;

As a representative of BIA for Rousse region we are involved in the following activities and services in the area of training for adults:

  • organizing trainings in entrepreneurship, soft skills, digital competences, corporate trainings
  • corporate social responsibility, lean manufacturing, improvement of production processes, etc.;
  • providing qualification/requalification courses and trainings in the VET centre registered with RIA, working together with the business for joint qualifications, education at the workplace and most updated practices in the Vocational education;
  • organizing forums, round tables and information events for adults
  • employment opportunities,
  • educational programs, etc. for Rousse region;
  • consultations and mentoring for startup businesses;
  • collecting, summarizing and distributing information about learning opportunities to the stakeholders;

Galena Robeva has a MBA degree with specialization in Leadership in a global environment. She also has a teaching qualification in Economics. PM experience:

PM Miglena Pencheva has а PhD in Social Management and additional certificates as follows:

  • DISC Application and certification;
  • TACK International Methodology – certified expert;
  • Generations X, Y, Z – the new aspects of the Leader.

She has specific expertise in development and implementation of Train the trainer programs for teachers and trainers. She has experience as a trainer of adult learners in: Communication skills, Assertive behaviour, Teamwork and team compatibility, Conflict management, Mentoring, Leadership, etc.

  • 2017 – 2019 – “Innovative professional trainings in entrepreneurship – INNOVENTER”, Project expert, organized and conducted trainings with 50 business representatives, 60 teachers and 200 students from 18 schools;

2017 – 2018 – BG05M2OP001-2.002-0001 „Students practices“ – Phase I – Academic mentor of 30 students in Rousse’s university;

Maria Stankova is an English language teacher with professional interests in psychology and neuroscience for education and is currently developing and implementing new motivational methodologies and tools in 2 adult training centres.
